"Design a flag

for an asteroid mining company."

Before starting this project, I did some brief research on mining companies in space. It sounds like they'll be a reality given enough time.

Before I could make the flag, I needed to essentially create a logo. I know logos shouldn't be too literal but most of the asteroid mining companies that exist today are on the nose as far as their names are concerned. In keeping with that, I came up with "Steel Star Company."

I ended up using some simple shapes that looked both like the letter "S" and a drill. I threw in a star shape as well, along with a bold san serif font to tie things together.
